La Mousson d'Été

La Mousson d’été is an organization whose goal is to promote creation and innovation in theatrical writing. It aims at developing contemporary plays’ outreach while facilitating collaborations between dramatic authors and structures specialized in the production and dissemination of contemporary stage works.La Mousson d’été organizes two annual festive events:

• “La Mousson d’été – International Theatre Encounters”, where a selection of twenty recent plays from France and abroad are performed as staged readings while its Summer University offers eighty people from across Europe an opportunity to explore contemporary playwriting through a series of morning workshops, conferences, talks and hosted shows; and

• “La Mousson d’hiver”, which focusses on innovative texts for the youth (teenagers & young adults).

Highly-connected at the European and international levels, la Mousson d’été is a member of “Fabulamundi. Playwriting Europe” (co-financed by the European Union via the Creative Europe program) and "Tintas Frescas", a project which supports French dramatic works in Latin America.

La Mousson d’été’s artistic director is Véronique Bellegarde.
